Justin grew up in the Portland area, developing a deep sense of place and love for his native habitat. He acquired his B.S. in Environmental Science, focusing on terrestrial ecosystems, and minor in Natural Resource and Environmental Law and Policy from Oregon State University. He has worked in the sciences and environmental fields for 12 years, with his work at Mosaic focused on wetland mitigation.
